Content Delivery Extensions

Content Delivery Extensions offers revised functionalities for search and navigation in any CDP.

  • Adds sophisticated search and navigation components to your CDP
CDX implements features to support your customers finding the information they need. It gives your users search filters - permanent or dynamic - and reasoning components like automated "see also" links.
  • Brings the product model alive
CDx shines when it has a product model to work with. It can present the model to the user and therefore provide a new way of content navigation, discovery and search. It can make the difference between pressing a button because that's what the manual says and understanding the underlying mechanisms of the product - information vs knowledge transfer.
  • Uses terminological data to support the CDP
Terminological data, for example from TLM - but also any other terminology system that outputs XML - can be used to support the search component of your CDP. For example, synonyms can be used to find better search results and lead the user to terms, that are used inside your company. Depending on the information quality of your terminological data other services like proximity search can be added.
  • Filters and restructures your content
Rule-based filtering of topics or information blocks can be used to provide more exact documentation to your users. Also, the product model can be used to create dynamic publications.
  • Integrates metadata to your CDP
At its core CDx loads persistent metadata into your CDP. If necessary, it also maps this metadata - from different sources - to your CDP's information entities.
